Who I am
My name is Natalie Dunn, and I am from Auckland, New Zealand. I have previously studied at AUT, Unitec, and AMES. For those of you who don't know me (which I'm pretty sure will be most visitors to this site), I am a digital artist and a photographer. For those familiar with me, I enjoy a nice cup of coffee or hot chocolate in the morning. Currently, I am learning French and plan to study fashion design later on. I aspire to become a fashion designer, in addition to pursuing careers as a model, photographer, artist, and graphic designer.
I'll share a bit more about myself: I am currently 26 years old, born and raised in Auckland. I am an only child. Throughout my life, I've resided in Mount Eden, Auckland. I attended Freemans Bay Primary School followed by Balmoral Intermediate School. For high school, I've been to both Mount Albert and Auckland Girls Grammar School. Growing up, I lived with my parents in Mt Eden, and unfortunately, I lost my dad to cancer during the first nationwide lockdown in New Zealand. Since then, I've learned a great deal from the lockdowns, and I've embraced living life to its fullest, while also starting to work diligently towards my goals. Currently, my aspirations include achieving fluency in French, pursuing studies in fashion design, and eventually relocating to Paris to further my education in fashion and eventually become a fashion designer. Following that, I aim to delve into modeling, photography, graphic design, and art. I'm taking gradual steps to accomplish these objectives. Additionally, I enjoy spending time with my close friends, exploring new places, and indulging in cultural experiences. I find inspiration in nature, and I often incorporate elements of it into my creative work.
I'm sure you have already discovered that I am a cocktail enthusiast, as well as a frequent traveler who enjoys going on adventures. However, there's more to life than drinking cocktails or going away on exquisite vacations - though it is indeed enjoyable as it allows you to explore new places and try out new experiences, including food and drinks. When I do embark on adventures, I often visit Waitomo, Rotorua, Taupo, and Queenstown, where there are plenty of adrenaline-fueled activities such as skydiving and bungy jumping. Almost every year, except for 2020 when my dad passed away, I travel either to Mt Ruapehu, south of Taupo, or various ski fields in Queenstown for skiing. More recently, I went to Australia to engage in adrenaline activities, including skydiving in the Gold Coast, jet boating in Surfers Paradise, and going on the slingshot ride. I have been traveling both in New Zealand and overseas almost every year throughout my life, with the exception of not traveling outside of NZ in 2020 and 2021 due to travel restrictions and lockdowns resulting from the ongoing pandemic.
I am more than just a cocktail enthusiast or a woman with a passion for fashion who loves shopping. There is more to life than partying and, as I mentioned before, cocktails. I am also a feminist, political activist, content creator, and blogger. My blog focuses on issues that concern me, such as women's rights and online abuse, which unfortunately, I have experienced quite a bit. From a very young age, I have been passionate about fashion, makeup, beauty, as well as art. More recently, I've delved into photography and graphic design, starting this hobby in 2016.
In my personal time, aside from content creation, I enjoy pursuing my favorite hobbies such as shopping, photography, digital art, graphic design, extreme sports, and gaming. Occasionally, I indulge in baking and cooking. I also like to conduct food and drink reviews, which you can find on my social media platforms and my dedicated website, all of which can be found here. When it comes to drinks, I must admit I have a preference for sweet, refreshing, or bitter cocktails, as well as wine (especially red or sweet wine) and champagne. I also enjoy Bailey's either neat or with ice cream, and I consider myself a casual drinker. Additionally, I'm open to trying craft beer and cider on occasion.
I also hold quite strong views on issues regarding feminism, politics and current events as well as global issues, including social issues, national (and international) issues, and equality. I will get along with you if you are not a hateful person. My beliefs are that it is important to hold a happy, healthy and hate-free life. While I belong to no religion, I believe that everyone should be respected regardless of their religious beliefs, gender or race (or any other background). Hate speech is not healthy and never will be.
You are always welcome to follow me on social media. If you have any questions, you can contact me via email, Facebook, or Instagram. However, I do block individuals who exhibit racist, sexist, or hateful behavior, in addition to those who engage in spam. Additionally, I block and, in some cases, report trolls or individuals who display ignorance and stupidity, as I rather not engage with such behavior, and additionally, I have low tolerance for ignorance. Please be mindful of this.
Anyway, you can find my blogs on everything I am passionate about, from cocktails to travelling to feminism here and here and also here (and on this site also). I hope you take the time to read them and learn something from them.
